We are delighted to welcome you to Youtopia Ltd. As you will have heard from Robert, effective from 2nd March 2026, we have acquired the client base of Robert Berry Accountants Ltd.

We know change can be unsettling, so we have put together this guide to explain exactly what is happening and why strictly nothing is changing regarding your fees or service.

  • Why is the practice changing hands?

    Bob has made the decision to retire after many successful years. His priority was ensuring his clients were left in safe hands. After vetting several firms, he chose Youtopia Ltd because we share his values: personal service, plain English advice, and a commitment to looking after local businesses.

  • Will my fees go up?

    No. We are honouring the fee structure you had with Robert Berry Accountants. You will pay exactly the same for the same level of service this year. Our goal is to build a long-term relationship with you.

  • Who is handling my accounts now?

    Your file is now being managed by the team at Youtopia Ltd. We are a team of qualified accountants and tax advisors.

    David will be your current account manager. Over the coming weeks, a dedicated account manager will be in touch to introduce themselves personally so you always have a named contact.

  • Do I need to do anything right now?

    New Engagement Letter: We will email you a digital engagement letter (via our secure portal). This just updates the contract name to "Youtopia Ltd." You can sign it on your phone in seconds.


    Bank Details: As we are a separate company, we cannot use Robert’s old bank account. Please update your bank payments to our new details or complete the Direct Debit mandate we have emailed you.

  • What happens to my historical data?

    Everything has been securely transferred. We have received your full client history, tax returns, and working papers from Robert Berry Accountants. We use the same high-security standards (GDPR compliant) to protect your data.

  • I use Xero / QuickBooks / Sage. Will my login change?

    No. Your software access remains exactly the same. The only change is please could you add David@youtopia.co.uk to your accounting software?


    We use Xero and would be keen to help migrate you to a Xero account.

  • Where are you located? Do I have to travel to you?

    We are based in Sherington, Milton Keynes, but we operate as a modern, digital-first practice. We can handle everything via email, phone, and Google Meet, which saves you travel time. However, if you prefer a face-to-face meeting, we would be delighted to welcome you to our office for a coffee.

  • I have a tax deadline coming up. Will it be missed?

    Absolutely not. We have conducted a full audit of all upcoming deadlines (VAT, Payroll, and Accounts). If you have a deadline in March or April, we are already working on it.

  • I have received a letter from HMRC what do I do with it?
